Boksburg is located in the East Rand of Gauteng province. Bordering suburbs include Benoni, Germiston and Brakpan. Three national highways (N12, N17 and N3) run through Boksburg. It is approximately 30km from the Johannesburg CBD and only 15km from O.R. Tambo.
Boksburg and Boksburg East accommodates some major heavy industries such as the Gary Steel steelworks, Baldmin Engineering works Scaw Metal and packaging giants such as Serioplast and Aeon Packaging and Trading and Food companys like Tiger Brands and Danone as well as FMCG companies like Unilever. Boksburg is in a good location due to it having three major highways running through it, which provide it with excellent access and make it well suited to distribution companies as well. It has the advantage of having major 3 phase power available as well a Gaskor pipeline running through the area. It also has the advantage of being a mere 15 minute drive from the airport.
