Overview
Barbeque Downs just south of Kyalami is a mixed use suburb has become popular as an industrial node due to its close proximity to highways and all the shopping centres in the area as well as the Mall of Africa only 5 Kms away, and right on the doorstep of the Waterfall Precinct. It is also popular with the motor industries because of the Kyalami Race Track adjacent to it. It has a number of mini unit complexes which suit the small businesses. Some of the popular mini unit complexes include the Barbeque Terrace, Barbeque Heights, Barbeque Corner, Moonriver Investment Park, Kyalami View and the new Barbeque Bend. There are also large companies like Liviero Group, Front Runner, Industrial Watercooling and Industrial Centre. The area is attractive to investors, owner occupiers and tenants with stock is normally taken up quickly.
The infrastructure in the area is excellent with upmarket residential areas such as Kyalami Estate and the Waterfall City Precinct with road networks such as the R55, Allandale Road and Main Road being the main arterial routes. The area is served buy plenty of shopping centres like Kyalami on Main, Kyalami Downs and the new Kyalami Corner shopping centres and the iconic Mall of Africa just down Allandale Road at the Allandale Interchange.
